Rahul Gandhi Should Have Avoided Mockery On Modi?

Politics in India seems to be reaching a point where criticism goes beyond policies and governance because ruling and Opposition parties are resorting to personal vilification and mockery nowadays rather than fighting on public issues.

In another one such instance, major political debate started across social media after a video from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi event in Indore deliberately aimed at mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi went viral online.

During the “Chhatron Ki Goonj” student interaction program, a participant performed a mimicry act mocking Modi style of speaking. The incident quickly captured massive public attention and generated strong mixed reactions from political parties and general public.

Supporters of Congress shared the clip widely on digital platforms claiming it was harmless satire and creative expression by young students. They argued that political leaders and their public speeches have always been subject to comedy and lighthearted humor in a free democracy.

They also pointed how the BJP outfit painted Rahul Gandhi as ‘Pappu’ in politics in the last one decade.

However, leaders from ruling BJP party expressed deep anger and strongly criticized the viral video clip showing mockery on PM Modi. BJP spokespersons slammed the organizers for bringing personal comments and family references into active political arguments.

The video spread rapidly across X ( Twitter ) and Facebook triggering fierce online debates among political supporters from both sides.
