Pixels to Pipes to People: CBN 2.0 Wins National Media Praise

CM Chandrababu Naidu is often hailed as the CEO of Andhra Pradesh. He is often revered as the leader and visionary who brought Information Technology to Hyderabad and Telugu states. He is the architect of the Hitech City, and the global leader who played a pivotal role in pinning Hyderabad on the Global IT map. Ever since Telugu states are divided, Chandrababu Naidu is working rigorously towards the development of Andhra Pradesh.

While even his political opponents admit that Naidu is a technology-focused leader, Chandrababu 2.0 is changing this image by shifting his focus onto Agriculture, Irrigation. A massive 35,000 crore irrigation road map has been unveiled by Chandrababu and his government by aiming to fastrack 36 irrigation projects.

For the first of its kind, AP has unveiled Irrigation and Water Calendar and this is expected to help farmers plan their crops based on it. All these are changing Chandrababu’s image from tech-savvy leader to pro-farmers and pro-agriculture leader with irrigation and water provision being given top most importance.

Particularly, drought-hit Rayalaseema is top priority for Babu and his government. Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi and Veligonda projects are being speeded up, adding 52 TMC of water capacity and helping nearly 14 lakh acres. Canal modernisation and river-linking work are also being taken up in the Krishna-Godavari region. Subsidised micro-irrigation is being promoted to help farmers grow profitable crops.

AI and technology are also being used to monitor rainfall, reservoirs and water use. The TDP says these measures, along with farmer schemes and Farmer Producer Organisations, are expected to make agriculture more productive and profitable.

Thus, CBN and his governance is giving a strong counter to opposition YSRCP which had been criticising Naidu as anti-farmer and anti-agriculture. In his second term as CM of newly formed AP, CBN is erasing this critical image of him.

From pixels to pipes, Chandrababu Naidu’s swift transition is now being hailed by the national media like The Print. Even several senior political analysts are hailing Naidu for ditching his Corporate CM image and turning towards a new image of Farmers CM and People’s CM.
