Bihar politics are extremely violent and aggressive in nature and hence, sustaining here is not for everyone. This is to be understood if we look at the latest statement from a JDU MLA as he confessed about arranging multiple murders for former chief minister, Nitish Kumar.
MLA Anant Singh claimed in a national media interview that he got nine people murdered while supporting Nitish Kumar who was aspiring to become the CM.
He also claimed to have made unparalleled sacrifices for the party and vowed to stand by Nitish Kumar until his last breath. But the fact that he spoke about getting nine people murdered for the then CM Nitish Kumar is shocking everyone.
His remarks come amid a dispute over the Patna Graduates’ MLC election, where Anant Singh is backing Jan Suraaj candidate Anuj Singh against JD(U)’s official nominee, Neeraj Kumar. There’s internal conflict within the party and has resulted in Anant Singh trying to pledge his loyalty to Nitish by speaking about the earlier murders.
The Mokama MLA is known for his violent political nature and tenacity of strongmen culture but no one expected him to speak about arranging for murders in public.
Even the JDU leadership got shocked with this comment from their own MLA and had to clarify that Nitish Kumar was never interested in violent politics. They have completely distanced the party from Anant Singh’s wild comments.
