High Tension In Pulivendula: Viveka Murder Accused Stops Jagan’s Car

The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently in his home turf of Pulivendula, as he is visiting the constituency in view of the ongoing local body election.

The presence of Jagan in the Pulivendula constituency has created a significant piece of public discourse, and there is a lot of high drama that is happening with the same.

Incidentally, there was this one particular event during Jagan’s visit to Pulivendula that has immediately grabbed all the attention in the political circles. This happened after Dastagiri, who is one of the main accused in the YS Viveka murder case tried to stop Jagan’s convoy.

While Jagan was travelling on the streets of Pulivendula to energise the YCP cadres locally, this Dastagiri came right in front of the convoy and stopped it in the process. He then went on to push his way towards Jagan’s car, and repeatedly said he wants to speak to the YCP chief.

Considering the gravity of the matter, the police had to intervene and take this murder accused away from Jagan, but he was still having a verbal altercation with YCP cadres.

It appears that Jagan’s presence in Pulivendula has completely amplified the political atmosphere here, and there is significant tension associated with the same.

The local police had already instructed the former chief minister to peacefully cast his vote and immediately go back without any public events which could lead to complications. But nevertheless, there are certain disturbances happening in Pulivendula with local TDP and YCP cadres having a go at each other.
