No Need to Wait: MAVIGUN Referendum Results Already Out!

The results of Municipal Corporation Elections in Andhra Pradesh painted a sorrowful picture for YSR Congress.

MAVIGUN is the biggest political narrative of YSR Congress after the 2024 defeat. After the miserable results in Vishakapatnam, Jagan Mohan Reddy dropped the Three Capitals and gave the call for MAVIGUN.

MAVIGUN is the newly proposed capital of YSR Congress combining Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur.

Like how, Vishakapatnam rejected YSR Congress in 2024, the electorate of Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur have rejected the Opposition Party completely.

Sheikh Abdullah Abida of TDP was declared elected as mayor of Machilipatnam. Out of the sixty divisions in Machilipatnam Corporation, YSR Congress managed to win only in nine divisions. Independents won three while TDP and Janasena together won the remaining forty eight.

Vangaveeti Radha from Janasena won from Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.

Kovelamudi Lakshmi Aparna from TDP was elected Mayor from Guntur Municipal Corporation.

Alliance candidates won the majority of divisions in Guntur’s 76 divisions and Vijayawada’s 86 divisions.

YSR Congress can claim anarchy and misuse of Power in areas like Rayalaseema and Palnadu but the elections were by and large peaceful in these areas.

These results indicate that the people of MAVIGUN have rejected the idea.

Jagan Mohan Reddy always maintained that the 2029 election results are Referendum for MAVIGUN. However, Jagan need not wait another two and a half years to know the results of the Referendum.
