YSRCP leader and MLC Challa Ramakarishna Reddy passed away. Challa Ramakrishna Reddy, who was diagnosed with Covid-19, had been treated at Apollo hospitals in Hyderabad.
Challa had developed symptoms of Covid-19 on December 5th. He was under home quarantine. Upon severing the symptoms, he was admitted to the hospital on December 13th. Despite efforts by doctors, Challa couldn’t get any better and couldn’t overcome Covid. He breathed his last today at the hospital. He was 72. Challa is survived by wife Sridevi, two sons and two daughters.
Challa is from Uppalapadu Revu in Avuku (Owk) Mandal in Kurnool district. His final rites will be performed in his native village tomorrow.
Challa served as MLA from Congress in 1999 and 2004. He was defeated in 2009 by PRP candidate Katasani Ramireddy. Later, Challa joined TDP in 2014 and served as AP Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman. In 2019, Challa joined YSRCP. YS Jagan has offered him the MLC.
YSRCP leaders, politicians have expressed grief over the demise of Challa Ramakrishna Reddy. CM Jagan has condoled Challa’s untimely demise.
