Telangana CM KCR has given green signal for reopening of the schools. On Monday CM KCR held a review meeting with Education department officials and took a call on reopening the schools. After a good discussion, KCR has directed to reopen schools from February 1st but the classes would be held for ninth standard and above.
Intermediate first, second and Degree colleges are also likely to reopen with this decision. Also KCR has instructed the Education department officials to take all the precautionary measures at all the schools. With this after 10 months of shutdown, the schools are going to reopen in another three weeks.
Probably Telangana is late to take a call on schools and colleges. AP has reopened schools in November month and there are a few more states in the country that have been running schools since November.
Depending upon the vaccine availability in the coming months, the Telangana government will take further decisions on opening class for other standards too.
