The Panchayat (Local Body) election notification is creating a storm in Andhra Pradesh politics. The ruling party is hell bent against it and approached the AP High Court. Suspending the election notification, the High Court verdict was in favour of the ruling party.
However, the AP State Election Commission has challenged this and filed a petition before a Division Bench. While all these things are happening, SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has met AP Governor Biswabushan Harichandan some time back.
According to highly placed sources, Nimmagadda is having a detailed discussion with the Governor. “Why the notification was released and under what circumstances it is done,” is what Nimmagadda is explaining to Harichandan.
Also Nimmagadda informed about AP High Court’s verdict and challenging at a division bench.
Seems like, SEC Nimmagadda is in no mood to take back the election notification.
