In a relaxation in Covid rules, the government has issued a new set of guidelines which come into force on February 1, 2021.
According to the new Covid-19 guidelines, the Cinema theater occupancy is increased to a higher capacity and also the swimming pools will be opened for all.
As there is a steady decline in Covid-19 cases in the country, the centre has announced these revisions in Covid-19 guidelines. The Cinema theaters have already been permitted for a 50 percent occupancy in seating and now it will be increasing to a higher capacity which a revised Standard operating procedure will ne issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in consultation with Ministry of Home Affairs.
Swimming pools had been opened for sportspersons last year and according to the new guidelines, the pools will be opened for all to use.
There is a chance of increase in permitted strength of gatherings with details fro State concerned SOP. Social/entertainment/Educational/cultural/ religious/ sports gatherings have been permitted upto a maximum of 50 percent of the hall capacity with a ceiling of 200 persons in closed spaces. With the new guidelines SOP, the strength of the permitted gathering is likely to be increased.
