Rajanna Rajyam In Telangana, YS Sharmila Confirms

The Atmeeya Sabha (get together) of YSR loyalists ended at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad and YSR’s daughter Sharmila addressed those attending the meeting saying that Rajanna’s daughter bows down and folds her hands in front of Rajanna loyalists. YSR loyalists and fans including elected representatives, political activists from Nalgonda attended the meeting.

Revealing her plans, Sharmila said that Telangana was feeling the absence of YSR and that her desire was to ring in Rajanna Rajyam into the state. However, she did not reveal the name of her party.

She said that she came to the place not to speak but listen to the invitees and understand them. She thanked all those who attended the meeting for obliging to her request.

“In Rajanna Rajyam, every farmer was a king. I believe that I alone can establish Rajanna Rajyam. In Rajanna Rajyam, every poor person will have a house of his own. Even the poor students can dream of higher education even though it is a costly affair. Rajanna always believed that poverty is a curse which can be broken and he strived to reach that goal. He introduced Arogyasri for the well-being of the poor, there are many schemes which he introduced for the development and welfare of the poor.”

“I need not list the schemes as you also know of them. My wish is to see Rajanna Rajyam and for the same reason, this meeting has been held. Please give your suggestions and advice on how to set up Rajanna Rajyam,” she said and ended her speech.

When asked if she was floating her own party due to differences with her brother Y.S. Jagan, she said: “Jagan Mohan Reddy will do his work in AP. I will do my work in Telangana. We will work in coordination with Telangana YCP wing. Telangana will witness Rajanna Rajyam. There may be a padayatra too. I did not consult my brother about floating a political party. Taking this decision needed guts. Brother-sister relationship will continue between us. Politically, I will tread in my own path. I will go to the people through the political party and confine myself to the interests and issues in Telangana,” she said.

However, neither Jagan nor his party leaders made any comments on Sharmila’s plans and party in the media.
