‘You Will Get Crushed Under Jagannatha Ratha chakralu’

Minister Kodali Nani made some harsh comments against the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. He said that Nimmagadda would get crushed under the wheels of Jagannath’s chariot (Jagannatha Ratha Chakralu), hinting that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would take action against the government official for opposing him, even as the Election Commission served show cause notices to Nani for his insulting remarks against Nimmagadda.

The EC served the notices after examining the footage telecast in the electronic media. The notice stated that either Nani or his representative should give an explanation before 5 pm today. Else, the Commission warned of strict action.

He said that no force can stop the victory of YCP in the panchayat polls. He said that any number of useless TV channels or newspapers could do no harm to Jagan with their propaganda. Nimmagadda should learn a lesson at least now, he suggested.

Jagan and Nimmagadda have been at loggerheads since the latter postponed the local body elections suddenly citing the spread of Covid-19 in Andhra Pradesh in March last year.
