Back in 2018 when the pink diamond of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) went missing, then prime priest Ramana Deekshithulu and Vijayasai Reddy alleged that this diamond was put for sale in overseas. The governing panel of TTD then filed a defamation case against Ramana Deekshithulu and Vijayasai Reddy of Rs 100 crore each.
But with YSRCP coming to power in 2019 and a new panel for TTD was formed subsequently. The devasthanam has decided to withdraw the case against the YCP MP in January 2020. A petition regarding the same has been filed in May 2020. However in a rude shock, Telangana Hindu Jana Shakthi and one more advocate have opposed this movie and filed a petition against TTD’s.
In their petition, Telangana Hindu Jana Shakathi and advocate informed the court that the case cannot be withdrawn but they should be added as individual parties.
Tirupathi 10th additional magistrate would decide the fate of Vijayasai Reddy and Ramana Deekshithulu in this case. Until the court pronounces its decision Vijayasai Reddy will continue to be part of the defamation case.
That’s the cost of loose talk in politics.
