For the Hyderabad-Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy constituency graduate MLC elections, Telangana CM KCR has offered ticket to ex-PM PV Narasimha Rao’s daughter Vani Devi. However this is inviting a lot of criticism from the oppositions and they are lashing out that this is an insult to PV’s family.
“KCR has knowledge that his TRS party or it’s candidate will not win the elections but to take a political benefit out of the elections, he offered the ticket to PV’s daughter. If KCR has regards and respect for PV’s family, why could not he nominate her for Rajya Sabha or MLC under Governor’s quota,” questioned Revanth Reddy.
“By offering a losing seat, KCR is humiliating PV’s family and it’s a shame on TRS minister Talasani to ask other candidates to withdraw from the elections,” said ex-MP Ponnam Prabhakar.
Meanwhile PV’s grandson NV Subhash said that KCR has deceived his family. “KCR is a trickster and he is doing silly politics using my grandfather’s huge legacy. By fielding my aunt Vani Devi, KCR wants to split the Brahmin community votes,” said Subhash.
On the other hand Vani Devi could file her nomination on Monday. The returning officer sent her back as the nomination papers are filed in linear manner. Tuesday is the last day for filing nominations.
