In a country like India, the constitution and democracy is often made fun by the politicians. Repeating the same, some disturbing scenes have taken place in Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Friday.
Going into details, the budget sessions of Himachal Assembly have commenced on Friday. As the constitutional formality, it is the Governor who addresses the Assembly before the sessions begin. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya concluded his budget speech while leaving the Assembly, it was chaos at the premises. In this process, Congress MLAs have reportedly manhandled the Governor Dattatreya. However, there is no conclusive evidence as the Governor Dattatreya was surrounded by his security, media and the Congress MLAs.
But what has happened is upsetting and Himachal Assembly speaker Vipin Parmar has suspended five Congress MLAs i.e, Mukesh Agnihotri, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Satpal Raizada, Sunder Singh Thakur & Vinay Kumar who are reportedly involved in the scuffle.
Himachal CM has condemned this incident and added that the opposition needs to respect people who are in constitutional positions.
