Well it was a shocker that came in just hours. YouTube star Alekhya Harika who shot to fame with the Bigg Boss show, was made the new brand ambassador of Telangana Tourism and it was officially announced by the tourism department on the eve of Women’s Day.
However, it is learned that CMO and tourism minister Srinivas Goud has absolutely no knowledge about this. Well, Telangana state tourism Development corporation (TSTDC) chairman Uppala Srinivas Gupta had taken this decision to appoint Harika as ambassador without consulting the tourism minister.
Srinivas Gupta was said to be pulled up by CMO officials this morning and later Harika’s name was excluded from the TSTDC web-portal. This means Harika is removed as Telangana Ambassador for tourism. What a pity!
