Naidu Files Quash Petition In HC

In connection with the Amaravati land scam, the other day AP CID has served notices to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and also former minister Narayana. The CID even held raids at the residences of Narayana and asked him to before it for a recording his statement. These CID notices rattled the AP political circles.

Based on these notices, Chandrababu has approached the AP High Court on Thursday. Challenging the FIR lodged against him by the CID, Chandrababu filed a quash petition in the High Court. This petition might come for hearing tomorrow.

Also we hear that ex-minister Narayana has also filed a petition in the High Court. Chandrababu and Narayana were booked under Section 120 B (conspiracy) and Sections 166, 167 and 217 of the IPC (Prohibition of Assigned Lands Alienation Act of 1977 and the SC/ST Prevention Of Atrocities Act) after Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy’s complaint.

The ball is now in AP High Court and how the top court will react to these quash petitions, is going to be really curious to be noted.
