Is Pawan Kalyan heading for another divorce. Well, we are not talking about his personal life at all, but the assumption is regarding his political future. If the growing buzz in the political circles is anything to go by, Pawan is contemplating ending Janasena’s alliance with the BJP.
The latest speculation gains significance in view of the recently announced AP local body election results, where the Janasena-BJP combine washed out without any trace. Last week, Pawan commented against the Telangana-BJP’s indifference towards Janasena.
Janasena’s spokesperson Pothina Mahesh lamented that Janasena lost heavily in the municipal and corporation polls due to the alliance with the BJP. Both these developments indicate that Pawan is determined to end Janasena’s marriage with the BJP.
Ironically, Pawan is not new to weddings and divorces in politics. Soon after he launched Janasena Party, Pawan joined hands with the TDP and BJP ahead of the 2014 general elections. He later severed ties with the BJP after the saffron party betrayed AP on its promise of Special Status after coming to power.
But very soon, Pawan also distanced himself from the TDP and shook hands with the Left front, inclining towards his true political ideology. There was a brief flirtatious relationship between Pawan and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), too, which also didn’t last long.
After the romance with the Left party comrades ended, Pawan faced a humiliating defeat in the 2019 elections. That was when Pawan, embraced the BJP. While the Janasena-BJP is rumoured to be ending in a divorce, Pawan fans who have been totally upset with his lackluster decisions all these years will be the happiest to see him sail alone.
