Just when we are still in a disbelief that Andhra Pradesh is going to have three capitals, here comes an announcement that Tamil Nadu state would have five capitals. Naam Tamizhar Katchi (NTK) leader Seeman made this sensational announcement that if people vote to their party and bring them to power, the state will have five capitals in future.
During an election campaign on Friday, Seeman said that his government would initiate five capitals for the state namely – Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Kanyakumari, thus the state would witness all-round development.
Well Seeman’s own party leaders were shocked upon hearing this statement while people who were present at the campaign left a blank expression on their faces.
Earlier Kamal Haasan who is foraying into elections for the first time said that he is voted to power, he would make Madurai as second capital of the state.
Seems like Tamil Nadu elections are revolving around new capitals apart from unprecedented free schemes.
Of course the Centre has nothing to do with multiple capitals to a state but this concept is practically not possible.
