Rise In Covid-19 Cases: Telangana Shuts Schools, Colleges

There has been a huge rise in Covid-19 positive cases over the last the few days in the country and in Telangana. Especially in the state, the government schools have become epicentre of the Covid-19. Many students and teachers were tested positive and so there is a huge panic among parents.

In view of this, the Telangana government has decided to shut down all the educational institutes in the state. An announcement regarding the same was made in Telangana Assembly by education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy.

“From tomorrow all the schools and colleges shall be closed and the online classes would continue. However, the medical colleges will continue to operate,” said Sabitha.

There are also reports of national wide lockdown amidst the growing cases. But the Centre has decided up the vaccination drive. From April 1st, people aged above 45 years are allowed to take Covid vaccine.
