Ending the suspense TRS chief KCR has finalised the MLA candidate for the Nagarjunasagar by-elections and he is late Nomula Narasimaiah’s son Bhagath. Initially four names were in consideration including Bhagath’s name.
Minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy’s close aide Kotireddy and two more leaders from Yadav community were in the race. However, KCR opted for Nomula Bhagath owing to the sentiment factor.
Learning that Bhagath was finalised Kotireddy was deeply upset for getting snubbed. Minister Jagadish Reddy swung into action and he tried to pacify his aide. Media claims that Jagadish Reddy received a call from Pragathi Bhavan and Kotireddy was also summoned.
Later in the day Nomula Bhagath is expected to meet KCR and the TRS chief will hand over the B-form. Tomorrow in the morning hours, Bhagath would be filing the nomination.
Nagarjunasagar by-election will be held on April 17th.
