Vivekananda reddy
It’s been more than 2 years since former Congress minister and ex-MP YS Vivekananda Reddy was brutally murdered at his residence in Pulivendula, Kadapa. Today, Viveka’s distraught daughter Sunitha Reddy addressed the media in New Delhi.
“My father was brutally murdered more than 2 years ago. The criminals have not been arrested till date. He was the brother of the former Chief Minister and uncle of the present Chief Minister. If his death case is not investigated properly, what about common people?,” Sunitha fired a sharp question.
Sunitha told the media that many people had suggested her to forget her father’s death case. “But my heart is pushing me to fight for justice. How long should we wait for justice? I urge everyone’s support in my fight against this injustice meted out to my family,” Sunitha said.
“I met a few officers in connection with my father’s murder. They spoke as if murders are a common phenomenon in Kadapa. I don’t understand how murders can become so common. I am worried about the witnesses in my father’s case. Already one witness had died under mysterious circumstances. People are scared to talk about the incident,” she added.
Sunitha also said that her father YS Viveka treated everyone with love and that he had no enemies. “I don’t believe that financial reasons are the reason behind my father’s murder. As far as I know, it’s completely a political murder,” Sunitha alleged.
