The Panchayat elections are around the corner in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the full-time politicians from all the leading parties, several newcomers are testing their luck by contesting the elections this time.
According to the latest reports, Miss India 2015 finalist and model Diksha Singh is all set foray into active politics by contesting the upcoming Panchayat elections in Ward No. 26 of Baksha Development Block of UP’s Jaunpur district.
Diksha hails from Chittori village in Jaunpur. The 24-year-old studied till class 3 at her native village and later moved to Mumbai before finally settling down in Goa. She took part in the Miss India beauty pageant in 2015 and reached till the finals.
Diksha appeared in Neha Kakkar’s music video Teri Aakhon Mein and Darshan Raval’s Rabba Mehar Kari music video, which released in February. Initially, Diksha’s father wanted to contest from the same ward, but she had to step in after it was reserved for women in the late minute.
