Class 10 & Inter Exams As Per Schedule: AP govt Reiterates

In a huge decision, the AP government has reiterated that the Class 10 and Intermediate examinations will be held in the state as per the announced schedule. This is a bold decision amidst the Covid-19 second wave all over the country and state.

Earlier in the day AP CM YS Jagan called for a review meeting to take stock at the situation in the state and Education minister Adimulapu Suresh had also attended the meeting. Post it, minister Suresh announced that there is no change in Class 10 and Inter exams while Classes from 1 to 9th standard are cancelled. This will come into effect from tomorrow.

Defending this decision, minister Suresh added that keeping in view of students’ future, we have decided to conduct the exams. But we will make sure to follow all the SOP of Covid-19. “So far we have succeeded in containing the virus among students and while holding exams, the same will be done,” said minister Suresh.

The decision to hold exams might invite big controversy as the CBSE and many states are cancelling their board exams and postponed inter (Class 12) exams. But if any unwanted rise in cases among students gets reported, AP government would be held accountable and land in big trouble.

Probably the oppositions might go to the AP High Court against the YCP government’s decision on conducting exams.
