Due to the spike in the cases of the coronavirus, the government of Telangana decided to impose a night curfew across the state. The curfew period will continue till the 30th of this month. An official statement regarding the same was issued about a while ago.
The statement read, “The various measures to control COVID-19 in the state have been reviewed. It is decided to introduce a night curfew in the state for a period from 9 PM to 5 AM next day till 30th April 2021 as a further measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
The note also stated that all offices, firms, shops, establishments, restaurants, etc shall close at 8 PM. Hospitals, pharmacies, diagnostic labs, and those dealing with the essential services can be opened till 9 PM. Telangana witnessed around 6000 cases the other day. All the major state governments are taking strict measures to contain the spread of the virus. Telangana state is also taking all measures to contain the spread of the virus in the state. The state, however, did not put any restrictions on inter-state and intra-state travel.
There is no need to panic because all the essential services will be running with certain restrictions. It is important for people to wear masks and maintain social distancing during these tough times
