In what could be a setback for TDP, former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the wee hours of Friday. Before Dhulipalla’s arrest some dramatic scenes took place.
Nearly 100 police personnel were deployed at Dhulipalla’s residence who resides at Chintalapudi of Guntur district. Dhulipalla was arrested at his home with large police force.
The reason behind this arrest is, the ACB has traced irregularities in Sangam Dairy for which Dhulipalla is the chairman. Having found irregularities, the ACB booked Dhulipalla under sections 45, 120B, 408, 409, 418 and 420. These are said to be non-bailable warrants and post the arrest, Narendra is moved to Bapatla. The ACB would be placing Narendra before the magistrate and then take him for medical tests. The ACB has also served notices to Dhulipalla’s wife under section 50(2) of CRPC.
Learning about this, the TDP fumed on the YCP government and added that Jagan government is not stopping revengeful politics. “How come Narendra was arrested without even serving notices? This is a clear case of misuse of power by the Jagan government,” added TDP.
