PK Quits Political Strategy

Election strategist and chief of Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) Prashant Kishor said that he would quit the space of political strategy even after having helped the Trinamool Congress’ Mamata Banerjee in winning the West Bengal Assembly polls.

In December last year, he vowed to quit the social media platform Twitter if his prediction that the BJP would not win more than single digit MLA seats proved to be false. Now, the BJP is leading in 83 constituencies.

In an interview to an English news channel, he said that he had “no desire to continue in this space any longer”.

Earlier, IPAC organised many successful election campaigns for political parties like the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh, JD(U) in Bihar, Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, Congress in Punjab.

PK hogged the headlines after he coordinated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign during the 2014 general elections.

“I will quit this space any which way. I have no desire to continue in this space any longer. I am quitting despite winning. It’s a tough life and it’s a tough job. I have had enough. It’s time for colleagues to take over,” he said during the interview.

Recently, Kishor had been appointed as the principal advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

With the BJP crossing the single digit MLA seats, it has to be seen if PK quits Twitter as he had vowed earlier.
