Ever since the outbreak of Covid-19, the Telangana High Court is not at all convinced with the TRS government in its handling. Now that the second wave is showing danger bells, once again Telangana High Court has stepped into the scene. Over the last few weeks, the court has lashed out at the TRS government on its measures.
Yet again the court took up the issue on Wednesday. With the cases piling up every day, the court made a key suggestion to the TRS government and it is to consider weekend lockdown.
“Just for the namesake the government imposed a night curfew and left everything to the fate of people. Adequate tests are not being but the papers show cases have come down. This is inappropriate and why the government is not able to take a decision on lockdown. We suggest the government to consider weekend lockdown and the decision should be taken before May 8th,” said the Telangana High Court.
Also the court has asked the Director of public health to provide details of beds, ventilators in government run hospitals across the state.
So with the High Court making a key recommendation on lockdown, the TRS government is bound to take a call.
