Sharmila Is Back, Blames KCR For Surge In Covid Cases

Late YSR daughter, Y.S. Sharmila, lambasted Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao for not responding to her demand to include Covid-19 treatment in the Aarogyasri list. “KCR sir, come to senses, include Covid-19 under Aarogyasri purview,” she demanded.

Taking to Twitter, Sharmila said, “Ayya pettadu…adukku tinaneeyadu”. Neither is he including Covid-19 in Aarogyasri nor is he including it in the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat.” All his decisions are aimed at benefiting only the corporate hospitals, she said.

She blamed KCR for the surge in the Covid cases and deaths, saying Covid norms are not being implemented properly.

By saying “come to senses”, Sharmila had gone a notch higher in her criticism, say political observers. Now, she seems to be making comments not just on politics but gone to personal level as the opposition leaders keep saying that the CM takes pleasure in keeping himself locked in his farmhouse away from the city much of the time, they pointed out.

You keep giving statements that there are a large number of hospitals in and around Hyderabad but enough allocation was not done for their development, Sharmila said.

Adequate supply of oxygen is lacking for patients in Osmania, Gandhi, TIMS and NIMS posing a threat to the lives of Covid patients getting treated in those health facilities, she lamented.
