Covishield Vaccines Stolen From Hyderabad Hospital

Telangana state has suspended the vaccination drive because of the unavailability of the vaccines. The government has approved three vaccines for the citizens but there is no stock to cater to a larger section of eligible persons. Amidst this crisis situation, we hear that 50 vials of Covishield vaccine have been stolen from the government area hospital in Kondapur of Hyderabad city.

At the same time, 3 vials of Ambisome Injection, which is used for treating the deadly Black Fungus is also stolen from a corporate hospital at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad city.

The officials have booked a case on the same and began their investigation. The complete details of the same will come out soon.

A similar situation happened last month in Haryana. Over 1,700 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were stolen from a government hospital in Haryana’s Jind, but the thief later returned them with a Sorry note.
