Kamal Haasan Clarifies On Quitting Politics

Post the debacle in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, some interesting developments happened in universal hero Kamal Haasan’s political party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM). Some big leaders had quit the party and criticised Kamal of monopoly. With many leaders leaving the party, rumours started that Kamal would also quit politics.

As the rumours are gaining strength, Kamal Haasan has come out and responded to them. Posting a video on his social media Kamal said, he would continue in politics as long as he is alive.

“Everyone knows how transparent I was in forming alliances and how I empowered them is known to everyone. The temporary people who were here will not understand the core ideology of Makkal Needhi Maiam. Those who are working for the party will be empowered. The people of Tamil Nadu will see the newer version of Makkal Needhi Maiam in the coming days,” says Kamal in the video.

So the rumours can rest now and Kamal wants to stay longer in politics despite the ups and downs.
