The Andhra Pradesh government has postponed Class 10 Board Exams. Initially the board exams were scheduled from June 7th and the state government was in a fix to conduct the exams despite the second wave.
As the date is nearing, CM YS Jagan called for a review meeting with education department officials at Tadepalli camp office. Jagan had a word about the possibilities of holding the exams with the officials.
But in view of cases reporting nearly 20K every day, the state government is planning to extend the restrictions in the state. In that view if exams are held, students would struggle to reach the examination centre and would take a toll on them. This was informed by the officials to Jagan.
Taking their inputs into consideration, CM Jagan has decided to postpone the exams. A decision on holding the exams will be taken in July.
This is a relieving decision as AP is one of those states which is having a high positivity rate of Covid-19 cases.
