I’ll definitely return: Sasikala’s Viral Audio Clip To Cadres

VK Sasikala aka Chinnamma, the close aide of late Jayalalithaa, has given clear indication about her political return. Sasikala reportedly informed AIADMK cadres that she would return and sort out the party which was recently defeated in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

A voice clip of Sasikala in which she was talking to AIADMK cadres is now going viral on social media. In the voice clip, Sasikala is heard saying, “I’ll definitely return, don’t worry. We definitely sort out the party. Be brave. I will return once the coronavirus comes to an end.”

It can be noted that Sasikala was the expelled general secretary of AIADMK. She was jailed in a disproportionate assets case. After serving a 4-year term, she was released from prison in Feb 2021. It was expected that Sasikala would play an active role in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and expected major changes in the state politics. However, taking many by shock, Sasikala on March 3rd announced that she would step away from active politics. She had also asked AIADMK workers to work together to defeat their common enemy – DMK.

However, the Stalin-led DMK scored an easy victory. Of the 234 constituencies, DMK won 159 seats whereas AIADMK was confined to 75.
