Toolkit has been in headlines for the wrong reasons and social media is getting rocked by this. There are a flood of messages but the essential information coming from verified sources, is causing the bother. Freshly Twitter has shocked Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay for a Tweet that he made on May 18th.
Regarding the Indian mutant of Covid-19, several BJP leaders have shared a common content. Accordingly Twitter has labelled their tweet as ‘Manipulated’ one. Without even cross checking Bandi Sanjay used the same toolkit and eventually Twitter swung into action.
His May 18th tweet has been marked as ‘Manipulated Media’ by Twitter. Under its policy Twitter wants to provide authentic information and in case if it is fabricated content, it would label the tweet as ‘Manipulated Media. But the action by the micro-blogging platform was late as his tweet has reached most of his followers.
Social media giants are finding a tough time to deal with India’s hypocritical democratic practices especially by the politicians.
