On Friday, Etala Rajender announced that he is quitting the TRS party and offering resignation to the MLA post. He was supposed to send his resignation letter to Telangana Assembly speaker on Saturday but he backed out due to a strange reason. And the reason is these are not good days to step down from any notable position.
Apparently astrologers close to Etala have advised him to defer sending the resignation letter and obliging their suggestion, Etala decided not to send the letter today. Also there is no clarity when Etala would tender his resignation as the Astros are yet to give him a suitable date.
But Etala will be flying to New Delhi on 11th of June and formally join the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah and JP Nadda. In case Etala joins BJP without tendering the resignation, the TRS party is likely to lodge a disqualification complaint against him and with the Speaker always biased towards the ruling party, he might well take action in no time after receiving the complaint.
If Etala resigns as MLA and then joins BJP, it would be a tight slap to all those MLAs who jumped into TRS without resigning and also for the ruling party which always encourages defections.
