Just In: AP Govt Extends Curfew Till June 20

The Andhra Pradesh government passed a new order, announcing the extension of the ongoing curfew until June 20th. With the decline in the new cases of COVID-19, many state governments are planning to begin the unlock measures. AP government has given some relaxation with regards to the curfew. The curfew will be relaxed from 6 am to 2 pm every day.

Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the situation with the officials and has taken this decision to extend the curfew. The government offices in the state are allowed to open from 8 am to 2 pm, according to the new order.

On Sunday, Andhra Pradesh recorded 8,976 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally to 17,58,339. The state witnessed 90 more fatalities on June 6th, pushing the total death toll to 11,466. Currently, the state has 23,426 active cases.
