Telangana is contemplating to lift the lockdown, say media reports. With sharp decline in the Covid-19 cases, the state government is mulling to further relax the lockdown norms.
Currently, the state has imposed the night curfew and relaxation is allowed from 6 AM to 6 PM. As the night curfew is permitted till 19th June, the government is likely to take a decision today or tomorrow by calling for a cabinet meeting.
CM KCR is set to tour the districts from 20th June to oversee the development works in villages and towns. This is also fuelling the speculations that the government may further relax the lockdown norms.
Since the economy of the state is equally important, the government may vote for lifting the lockdown completely. The kicking off of the agricultural season in the state is also favouring the lifting of lockdown. However, one has to wait for the Cabinet meeting and the formal decision to be taken by the government.
