Is The Third Wave Underway In Telangana?

With the second wave impact coming down all over the country, many states are easing lockdown and restrictions. Telangana is the only state in the country to completely lift the lockdown and CM KCR cited that the positivity rate is below two percent and accordingly the government decided to remove the lockdown.

But the medical experts in the country are still skeptical and added that the relaxations would only make things worse and Third Wave might approach fast. And in a shocking reveal, there is a sign of ‘Third Wave’ underway in Telangana.

In a fever survey conducted by the Telangana government in Khammam district, over 1400 children tested positive for the novel virus. Khammam has posted a total of 16,302 cases during the survey and 1,480 were children.

The only and small relief here is, most of the infected people experienced only mild to moderate symptoms. All the infected children have been shifted to special covid ward and Khammam district officials say that the recovery rate among children is 100 percent.

Telangana has a bad name of following false practices in handling the Covid-19 cases and if the government continues with the same attitude with the warning bells of ‘Third Wave’ then the sufferers would be children, say experts.
