Double-Trouble Ahead For KCR?

Until the Dubbaka by-election, there was no alternative for Telangana CM KCR. But with the result turning upside down and BJP gaining in GHMC polls, BJP emerged as a strong force and this was mainly attributed to Bandi Sanjay who took over Telangana BJP.

Now KCR has another strong opponent in the form of Revanth Reddy who was recently made Telangana PCC chief. Earlier it was KCR who was highly vocal and there was no one who could counter him. But times are always not the same and Bandi, Revanth are best at replying to KCR in his own language.

Before Bandi Sanjay, the scenario was different in Telangana BJP. Many leaders in T-BJP did not even come close to counter KCR. Just when T-BJP was looking for a strong leader, the New Delhi recognised Bandi Sanjay and he was made the chief of Telangana wing. From day one Bandi started attacking the TRS government and KCR on every decision.

The Dubbaka and GHMC elections are moral victories for Bandi’s leadership even though he had witnessed a few failures. But people of Telangana realised that Bandi is the one who can counter KCR.

When it is the case of Congress, there is no one except Revanth Reddy despite having many veterans and seniors. There are rumours that many senior Congressmen are coverts of KCR and so they are least bothered about the growth of the party. Yet Revanth is giving a strong fight no matter how much the TRS government has troubled and troubling him. This is the prime reasons, the Congress high command has preferred Revanth’s name for T-PCC.

This means KCR has double-trouble ahead of him from Bandi Sanjay and Revanth. If KCR criticises once, Bandi and Revanth will not hesitate to attack twice and this will give a boost to both the parties and its cadre.

And Huzurabad by-election has become the epicentre of Telangana politics now. No doubt Bandi Sanjay and Revanth Reddy will pull up all the strings to counter KCR and it’s not going to be an easy road from here, say the experts.
