From November 2020, the fuel prices are climbing up without seeing downwards. But until the elections of five states, the government of India kept the prices very much under control and post the results, there is a continuous spike with no respite for the common man.
In many states, the petrol prices have crossed the three figure mark and in Hyderabad the petrol is priced at Rs 103.05 while the diesel stands at Rs 97.20. Giving more shock to the consumers, the Centre has hiked the LPG prices by Rs 25 on July 1st.
In protest against the growing prices, Congress MLA Jagga Reddy took a cycle ride from his home in Hyderabad to Gandhi Bhavan. Covering a distance of 12 kilometres, the video of Jagga Reddy cycling has taken the internet by storm.
But the oppositions need to do a lot against these fuel prices because the common man has no hope that the prices would come down or stop going upwards.
