Professor Kodandaram who led the Telangana separate statehood movement, parted ways with KCR and floated his own political party. In the 2018 Assembly elections, Kodandaram’s Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) teamed up with Congress and TDP but it received a rude shock from the voters.
Since the humiliating defeat, Prof Kodandaram is not that active in politics. Freshly we hear that Kodandaram’s TJS is likely to merge with the Congress party. Regarding the same earlier Revanth Reddy held talks with Kodandaram. But then Kodandaram did not give any word to Revanth.
It is being strongly buzzed that Revanth would also take the consent of Congress high command before laying red carpet for Kodandaram. If at all these reports are true, then Revanth would get an additional boost to his leadership.
Meanwhile firebrand MLA Jagga Reddy who is now the Working President of TPCC made noteworthy comments. “It’s a natural phenomenon that everyone competes for a post. But the decision has been made and the issue is done and dusted. So now every Congress party leader and cadre should work collectively as per the directions of Sonia Gandhi. I will respect the high command’s decision, keeping aside my personal views. The internal conflicts in Congress are over and now we shall be fighting against the TRS government,” said Jagga Reddy.
Overall the new T-PCC leadership is looking energised with full of josh.
