Special advisor to the government of Andhra Pradesh, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said YSRCP does not have the need to speak about YS Sharmila’s Telangana-based party.
Sajjala said Sharmila evinced interest in Telangana politics a long time ago and YSRCP knew full well that she would turn active in Telangana politics sooner or later.
“YSRCP did not set foot in Telangana political landscape in order to avoid any unrest between the two Telugu states. As for Sharmila’s party, we(YSRCP) don’t need to speak about it. We have no role to play in her decisions,” Sajjala commented.
Meanwhile, Sharmila took potshots at her brother YS Jagan in a political meeting today. “The two chief ministers(Jagan and KCR) have time to meet each other and share pleasantries. But they can’t sit down for two minutes to speak about the water disputes,” she said.
Sharmila has been making mildly provocative comments on YSRCP but the Jagan-led party is maintaining a strategic silence when asked about Sharmila.
