Despite Kohli’s stellar 113* off 72 balls and a partnership of 125 runs with Faf du Plessis, RCB’s total of 183 proved insufficient. Rajasthan’s spin duo, Yuzvendra Chahal (2/34) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0/28), contained RCB’s batting lineup effectively. In response, Rajasthan chased down the target with five balls remaining, powered by Jos Buttler’s unbeaten century and Sanju Samson’s 69 off 42 balls.
