From 2018 till now, the ruling BJP has amassed a staggering sum of 101 Crs through Google ads, constituting 26 percent of the total 390 Crs spent by all parties. Notably, BJP’s campaign strategy encompassed heavy investment in targeted states like UP, Odisha, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. However, in the recent phase of Lok Sabha elections, Congress outpaced BJP in Google ad expenditure, with Congress focusing on states like Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana.
