Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, a populist leader, was wounded in a shooting outside the House of Culture in Handlova. Reports indicate he sustained a stomach injury from four fired shots. Fico, serving his third term, leads the leftist Smer party, which secured victory in Slovakia’s September 30 parliamentary elections. The further investigation is currently underway. Popular leaders across the globe condemned the attack.
