APSRTC officials reviewed the free bus travel scheme for women in Telangana and Karnataka, concluding that the Telangana procedure is suitable for Andhra Pradesh. The NDA government will decide whether the scheme will be implemented in new districts, joint districts, or the entire state. This move is expected to reduce RTC revenue by Rs.200 crore per month.
