High Alert: Karnataka Reports 2024’s First Dengue Death

Karnataka has reported its first dengue-related death this year, with a 35-year-old health department employee succumbing to the disease in Shivamogga district. A high alert has been issued in the region, urging residents to take preventive measures against mosquitoes. The district administration has initiated fogging operations and distributed necessary medications to combat the spread of the disease.
