Curfew Enforced in Kashmir For Bar Elections

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has invoked Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code to prevent the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association from holding its elections. The move comes amid concerns over potential law and order issues during the electoral process. The decision has drawn criticism from legal circles, who view it as an infringement on the autonomy of the bar association.
