Indian social media platform Koo is shutting down operations after failed merger negotiations, including talks with DailyHunt. Koo’s founders cited the need for “patient, long-term capital” to build ambitious, global products from India, which they struggled to secure to compete against established players. The closure marks the end of Koo’s attempt to rival Twitter in the Indian market.
