Crews worked tirelessly to extinguish a fire at the Vellalore dumping yard in Tamil Nadu. The operation cost ₹76.70 lakhs, including ₹27.52 lakhs for staff food and tea. The fire, which affected 50 acres, lasted 12 days with 600 workers involved. The Corporation has recently approved these expenses.
