Former actress Sharada, a member of the Hema Commission investigating women’s issues in Malayalam cinema, objected to the dresses worn by today’s actresses. In the report, she stated that the style of dressing exposes body parts and is inappropriate. Sarada argued that the industry has become more open and westernized compared to the past.
